Welcome to the endorsement application portal for the Methodist churches belonging to the Pan-Methodist Commission. The member denominations include:

The member denominations have committed to use a common application process for ecclesiastical endorsement. Once the application is submitted and complete, it will be forwarded to the respective denominational endorsing agent for approval. 

Ecclesiastical endorsement affirms that a member of the clergy is qualified and authorized to perform the full range of ministry required in a pluralistic setting beyond the local church. Endorsed clergy serve in settings such as the military, correctional institutions, health-care settings, retirement communities, children’s homes, counseling centers, workplace ministries, and other specialized ministries of pastoral care. 

There is an application fee to partially offset processing costs, to be paid by credit card online after the initial review of your application

Pan-Methodist Endorsement Applications

Only for Clergy Ordained or Licensed in One of the Member Denominations

  • Professional Chaplain or Pastoral Counselor (Military or Civilian): $50
  • Volunteer Chaplain: $20
  • Military Chaplain Candidate Program for Clergy in Training (Seminarians): $20
